Must refrain


I love sweets. Cookies, chocolate, cake, ice cream, all kinds of candy. If it's got sugar in it, I looooooove it. I just made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for a friend's birthday tomorrow and polished off 3 cookies, not to mention the globs of cookie dough that were eaten prior to the cookies even coming out of the oven. Of course, as a result, I feel ill now. So, my goal is to refrain from all sweets for the rest of the week. What I should do is refrain from all sweets until I can learn how to rationally eat them. I'm trying the approach that if I write it down, I may actually hold myself accountable. Wish me luck. I'll leave you with one of the prettiest sweets I've ever seen. One of Zalita's cupcakes. The woman's attention to detail is amazing. On my "To Try List 2008", I have "Play with fondant", inspired by Zalita's cupcakes.

Oh my goodness! Now THAT is a cupcake! It's almost too beautiful to eat! Well, not THAT beautiful.

I'm with ya on the sweet overdose. I am a sweetaholic! Chocolate chip cookies are awesome, or even just the chocolate chips! :-) I'm SO bad!

I feel you on the sweets overdose! I have seriously had to cut back on my sweets lately and i feel much better because of it. Let me tell you though: it is very hard in the beginning (sugar is an addiction just like any other!) but it gets much easier. good luck! we're all in this together!

I filled up my candy jar at work today with Hershey kisses with almonds. I think I've had 6 already and it's not even 1:00pm yet. I need to go back to sweets on even days only!
